In August 2016, Street Plans completed the East Little Havana Historic Resource Survey, a three year survey of historic structures in Little Havana, FL. The Survey includes seven study areas, within which structures were categorized as Civic, Central Hall, Main Street, or Apartment Buildings, or Bungalows, and were given a condition on a scale of 1-5 based on a matrix of factors.
The Survey hopes to catalyze long-term historic preservation efforts in the neighborhood, as it concluded that over 30% of structures in the combined seven study areas are historic.
