Alongside the City of Somerville‘s Mobility Division, Street Plans is thrilled to share the final Bike Somerville Network Plan. Nearly two years in the making, this ambitious plan responds to the community’s desire to build safe and continuous bicycle facilities citywide.
If the Plan’s goals are realized, cycling mode share will more than double to 15% and the bike network will increase in size from 30 miles to 88, covering 54% of the Somerville’s street network. Using Quick Build methods, more than 40 miles of protected bikeways and Neighborways are recommended for installation by 2030.
