Street Plans Co-hosts 4th International Open Streets Summit

From Thursday, August 18th to Sunday, August 21st, Open Streets policymakers, practitioners, health professionals, active transportation activists, and others convened for the 4th International Open Streets Summit in Portland, OR. Co-hosted by Street Plans, along with 8-80 Cities and the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation, the Summit was attended by more than 200 people from around the world, making it the biggest one yet. Sessions at the Summit focused on the nuts and bolts of planning and delivering Open Streets to explore how they can be integrated into cities’ larger livable streets and active transportation movements. It culminated with all attendees, in addition to 23,000 other people, participating in Portland’s Open Streets program, Sunday Parkways.
